This lovely calming song was taught to us in North Carolina this past fall by Halima and Abraham Sussman, who lead Dances of Universal Peace all around the world. Their home base is in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and they were students of Samuel Lewis, who started the Dances back in the sixties. The dance to this is very beautiful and simple, and I've been singing the song all night as the snow falls down.
The words mean
Om = Sound of the Universe
Shanti = Peace
Prashanti = Supreme Peace
May all beings discover that deep peace which is our true nature.
