Midnight on the meadow, the sky is almost blue
Full moonlight seeps into my soul, and makes all old things new
The dogs howl at the magic, a thousand peepers sing, and it's
Just beyond the winter, and just before the spring
Just beyond the winter
Just before the spring
Just beyond the winter
And just before the spring
The juniper stands dark and true, and I need such a friend
'Cause I have been so ragged, alone and lost again
And I've been racing forward, to lose my fear somewhere
To try to leave something behind, to find something that's not there
Just beyond the winter
Just before the spring
It's just beyond the winter
And just before the spring
But there's nowhere to run to, with the Moon so fierce and bright
She pours her love on meadow grass, and serenades my night
She says, "Leave your many thousand things, rest here on the hill
And sing my song, believe my song
Be still..... be still....... be still
Just beyond the winter
Just before the spring
It's just beyond the winter
And just before the spring
Just beyond the winter
And just before the spring!
